About
Gale McArthur
Seattle executive host. Hospitality instinct, run like operations.
I'm Gale McArthur, founder of The Seattle Host. I've spent my career on both sides of a good guest experience, the warm side, where someone feels genuinely looked after, and the operational side, where a program has owners, timing, and a plan for the thing that goes wrong. Seattle is home, and it's where I do this best.

Background
- Hospitality business degree, Washington State University
- MBA in marketing
- Disney resort management training
- Executive support and operations leadership
- Brand, sponsorship, and event program management
- Decades of Seattle relationships across hospitality, business, nonprofit, and technology
How I work
I start with the outcome
Not the itinerary. What should be true when this is over, and which single moment carries it.
I write things down
Owners, decision dates, fallbacks. A plan that only exists in one person's head is not a plan.
I stay reachable
During a visit or a program, you have my number and I answer it. That is the whole point.
I don't oversell
If something is a bad idea in October, or a room is wrong for the conversation, I'll say so before it's booked.
Currently hosting
Places I keep, in my own name.
Two working properties where the hosting standard is practiced daily not theory, and not delegated.
If something is coming up in Seattle, tell me the facts of it and I'll tell you how I'd run it.
