Decide curb or garage before the flight lands
The curb is fast when everything is on time and unpleasant when it is not. For a principal with luggage, an international arrival, or anyone who should not be standing outside, I use a garage meet with a greeter at baggage claim.
Either way, the meeting point goes in writing and the driver's number reaches the traveler before takeoff.
Treat international arrivals as their own problem
Customs and baggage add an unpredictable block after landing. I build a wider window, keep the driver in a paid waiting spot rather than circling, and I do not schedule anything firm for the first two hours on the ground.
Match the vehicle to the guest
Party of one with a carry-on and a black sedan is right. Party of four with skis, or a family with car seats, is a different vehicle and a different loading plan. Getting this wrong is visible immediately.
Protect the departure
Departures fail more often than arrivals because the day before was busy and nobody re-confirmed. I set the car earlier than feels necessary, confirm the night before, and check the airline's terminal assignment the morning of.
